Floating Corner Seat

Floating corner shower seat includes bracket. Finished top and bottom.

Installation Instructions-

  • Before installing backer board on walls, install blocking for seat between studs to at least 20" from corner on each wall. Use 2x6 or 2x8 on edge centered 15" off floor.

  • After installing finished wall panels, apply silicone sealant to sides of bracket and screw  to walls at 17 1/2" off floor to top. Use 2 screws on each wall in holes provided. 

  • The sides of the bracket are tapered so the seat will be sloped to provide drainage.

  • Apply silicone sealant to top and bottom of all sides of bracket and slide finished seat over bracket. Leave 1/8" space against walls and apply silicone sealant top and bottom. Press the finished seat tightly against walls.  Clean off excess silicone and wipe using denatured alcohol.

Solis Surface Floating Bench Seat comes with 2 finished ends and can be cut to length as desired. Two 3/8 thick steel brackets included (shipped separately) that fasten to the sides of studs and protrude through the wall surfacing into the back of the hollow bench.

Installation Instructions-

  • Before installing backer board on walls, install 2 steel brackets to sides of studs so they extend through the wall board and the finished panel.

  • Top of protruding bracket should be 18 1/4" from sub floor.

  • Tilt the bracket about 1/8" downward to provide drainage for the bench.

  • ​If cutting to length use a fine tooth carbide blade.

  • Install finished wall panels cutting within 3/8" of each bracket. Caulk gap to brackets with silicone sealant.

  • Apply silicone sealant to top of brackets and back edges of the bench seat.

  • Press firmly onto brackets and against wall.

  • Clean excess silicone from seat and wipe with denatured alcohol.
